The Kidde combination alarm has been comprehensively tested and designed to the latest UL standard for safety and reliability. It is powered by 2 replaceable AA alkaline batteries (included) for continuous detection, even during power outages. Batteries should be replaced every 6 months or when the alarm sounds a low battery chirp. The alarm is self-testing and easy to install with the included twist-and-click mounting bracket.

This Kidde combination alarm is equipped with end-of-life notifications that will beep to remind you to replace it at the end of its 10-year lifespan. It meets the requirements of the 9th Edition UL 217, UL 2034 4th Edition, and FCC, but does not meet the requirements for CSFM.

The 2-in-1 detection feature alerts you to both smoke and carbon monoxide using a single, cost-effective detector. The enhanced sensing technology reduces false smoke alarms often caused by cooking, ensuring reliable performance. The alarm is comprehensively tested to meet the latest UL standards, including UL 217 9th Edition and UL 2034 4th Edition, as well as FCC standards.

The Kidde combination alarm does not require any wiring, as it operates on 2-AA alkaline batteries (included). This allows for easy installation – simply mount the bracket onto the ceiling and twist and click the 5-inch smoke and CO alarm into the bracket. The self-testing feature ensures that the internal components are always operating as expected, although a manual push test should be performed once per week to verify alarm operation.

The alarm is equipped with 3 LED notifications: green for normal operation, amber for operating error, and red for smoke or carbon monoxide detection, accompanied by a loud 85-decibel alarm. The test and hush button makes it easy to test the 5-inch combination detector and silence false alarms, should they occur. Batteries should be replaced every 6 months, and a low battery chirp will alert you when they need replacing.

The Kidde combination alarm comes with a 10-year limited warranty, which begins when the alarm is powered on. If the activation date is unknown, it should be assumed that the alarm should be replaced at the end of its 10-year lifespan.
