The Kidde Smoke Detector, 4-Inch Compact, AA Battery Powered, model 10SDR, offers enhanced fire safety. This compact smoke alarm features advanced sensing technology that reduces false alarms often caused by cooking and provides fast alerts, giving your family more time to evacuate safely. With its 4-inch design, it is smaller than the average 5-inch smoke detector, making it ideal for small spaces without compromising key features.

Designed to the latest UL standard for safety and reliability, the smoke alarm is powered by two replaceable AA alkaline batteries (included) for continuous detection, even during power outages. Batteries should be replaced every 6 months or when the alarm sounds a low battery chirp. The smoke alarm is self-testing and easy to install with the included twist-and-click mounting bracket.

This Kidde smoke alarm is equipped with end-of-life notifications, which will beep to remind you when it's time to replace the device after its 10-year lifespan. It meets the requirements of the 9th Edition UL 217 and FCC standards, but does not meet the requirements for CSFM.

The smoke detector is designed to DETECT SMOKE, sounding a loud 85-decibel alarm and displaying a blinking red LED light when smoke is detected. Its COMPACT DESIGN, with a 4-inch size, makes it ideal for small spaces.

The ENHANCED SENSING TECHNOLOGY reduces false alarms often caused by cooking, and the smoke alarm has been comprehensively tested to meet the latest UL standards, including UL 217 8th and 9th Edition, as well as FCC standards.

The smoke alarm requires NO WIRING, as it operates on two AA alkaline batteries (included), allowing for easy installation. Simply mount the bracket onto the ceiling and twist and click the 4-inch smoke alarm into the bracket.

The alarm features a SELF-TESTING function, ensuring that the internal components are always operating as expected. However, a manual push test should still be performed once per week to verify alarm operation.

The smoke detector has a LED LIGHT that displays a single red light, blinking every 60 seconds to indicate that the alarm is on and working.

The TEST & HUSH BUTTON makes it easy to test the 4-inch smoke detector and silence false alarms if they occur.

Finally, the smoke alarm comes with a 10-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY, which begins when the alarm is powered on. If the activation date is unknown, it is recommended to replace the alarm.
